Born and raised as an only child in Fayetteville, North Carolina to parents that worked for the civil service (Department of Defense) at Fort Bragg. My career in research brought me to Houston in my early twenties. After working for a large medical center for over a decade in the the research field, I decided that I was tired of chasing after grants to extend my lively hood. I weighed my options and decided to follow my desire for education. First to obtain my Doctorate and secondarily to be an active professor designing and teaching students. Now that the first part is done, I am looking to expand my exposure to more students.

I currently resides in the suburbs just outside of Houston in Pearland, Texas with her veteran Marine husband and fur babies (two Pit Bulls, Heidi and Penelope, and a blind asthmatic black cat, Libee). I am a foodie at heart and Houston has plenty options to choose from on that front. I dabble in website design on a personal level as a hobby as you can see by my site here.

Check out the things below that capture my interest such as fashion, culture, traveling, writing, fabulous food, being authentic and approachable, and even better conversations.

See you soon!
